Will we see whale plumes ahead
... Flipper' types bobbing about the harbour. I was all psyched now and as we set sail out of the harbour I was certain a whale was going to come flying out of the water. Well we sailed...and sailed...and did a bit more of that there sailing....the crew told us that there were three whales in the distance but we weren't convinced. Then we sailed some more into a very dark and cloudy area. Once we reached these ominous clouds the wind whipped up and ...
The Sleepy Town of Taree
... evening. Still, we managed to escape without any physical harm - although Parminder may have suffered some emotional distress. We did try to do some sightseeing while we were up in Taree. Hiring a car was vital, as the public transport system in the rural areas seemed to e virtually nonexistent. We made our way around the local beaches from Old Bar through to Forster. These are people I'd ...
Back by the Ocean
... walking exercise, a beautiful 5km walk. From the van at high tide you can hear the surf pounding the headland that we are perched on top of and it is so powerful, but at low tide we have walked down to the beach and there is a beautiful rocky terrace with mossy rocks, little rock pools and really interesting rock formations. Great for investigating.
There are some delightful villages around here. We drove ...
