      Visa are needed for both Vietnam and Cambodia. They can be purchased online. The Vietnamese entry documents also require additional passport photos. That was another last minute to-do.

      While American dollars are apparently widely used, (new bills in low denominations preferred) I also purchased a few million Vetnamese Dong. Now, along with my Visa, I'm ready to go.

      We arrived in Victoria, BC Provincial capitol, in the predawn hours. As the sun came up, the Silver Cloud docked at the adjacent berth. I waved at its passengers lining the
      decks. No one waved back. Noreen said they are too old and can't see you.

      ... atop a large hill and had a nice view of the surrounding area--see photos--and since it was so windy, we didn't stay out very long. Our guide told us that while Victoria enjoys a moderate climate, they do have a lot of windy days.

      ... vegetables. We had a chat with some locals who had the same camera as Stephen and they suggested watching the sunset from the spit due to the unusually clam conditions. Instead we watched it from Holland Point, but it didn't amount to much. We walked back to the hotel feeling very tired and on looking out the window discovered that we could have saved ourselves the long walk and seen it from there. It looked quite beautiful.
