There was a rock quarry (that had been used in the family business) that was abandoned, which she re-designed as a "sunken" garden.       ... cool to look at. After we had chilled for a while we began making our way back to Victoria. We stopped along the way near Port Alberni at a fish ladder used by spawning salmon. Here they had a viewing area and monitor so you could see the massive salmon using the ladder. We hung out here a while before heading off.
