Today was a travel day. We stopped in Las Vegas to have brunch with Dan's dad at the Aria buffet, then headed to California. Driving through Utah was pretty, but I wasn't very impressed with the flat desert part of California, and the drivers were awful. Once we got in the mountains it was okay, but it's really dry. You can definitely tell they're in a drought. We stayed in Tulare, close to Sequoia National Park.

We stayed for a bit afterwards but we were all so tired so decided ...

Unfortunately time to go back home to the real world.

Met up with Hala,
Amani and Manal for a last meal and we went to the highly regarded Bellagio

The was an incredible array of food for brunch.

Cereals, fruit, seafood, steaks, eggs, and deserts.
Enough food to feed a refugee camp. All very nice and with good service. Thirty
dollars a head but still great value.

You need to ...

... access the front door, when, accompanied by the barking of a couple of dogs, it was opened for us by an overwrought thirty-something female person in pyjamas having a terribly important business telephone conversation. Found our room, upstairs, end of corridor. The room was biggish modern, clean, with a big shower room, and a small balcony looking onto a rail freight yard and the surrounding mountains in the distance. The person, Laura, call and hysterics ...
