I thought this point was good to reflect on, especially doing "service". Paired very well with the ribs and brisket to give it just a little extra spice at the end. Even the Texas toast had a taste that was unique. They also had a hot barbecue sauce that lacked the sweetness of the regular sauce but instead had a spicy tanginess.

... cancelled. My chances of getting home for Christmas Eve were shot. To dab a little salt in the wound, the hotel I was due to stay at was in downtown, a healthy enough distance from the airport that they do not run regular shuttles. They'd arranged one complimentary one, but that ship had sailed. I had to arrange and pay for my own shuttle ride to the hotel.

When I called they told me the shuttle was scheduled for "now," so I immediately ...
