Bright and early we were up. What were we thinking camping by a creek during a cold snap in Fall in CO? But it was beautiful and well worth it. We packed up (which is quite an ordeal, luggage and camping gear for two in soft bags) fairly quickly and headed into town to the Yamaha/ Beta dealer where I had had my new tires shipped. ... along the twists and turns. The Hot Springs in Ouray are popular and the historic town of Silverton Colorado caught our attention. Minimal in that they will only do what is needed to keep them from deteriorating. We thank God again for the beauty of His creation and giving us a great time. When we left this morning it was beautiful along the Million Dollar Highway. Then it rained until we got to Silverton. As we arrived it ...

Today we spent the day taking the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad from (you guessed it) Durango to Silverton and back (about 3 1/2 hours each way with a 2 hour stay in Silverton). Those of you who have taken this trip before know how gorgeous the views are and how fun it is to ride on a train powered by an authentic steam locomotive. We had perfect weather all day. Something special about today's trip (our 8 am departure ...
