It's hard to keep ones footing when the Jeep is rocking and bouncing, but we did stop for a while of Marmot hunting on the Magie Gulch Trail. I ran all over that hillside and those darn Marmots just jump down a hole. So I didn't catch any, but it was fun. Check out the pics. Now that Randy shared the pictures Pam has said that Marmots look like little bears. So I'm updating my blog. I'm Brown Bear hunting. Watch out ...

... they were on the way. By the time the Feds got there there was no sign of booze anywhere and all the towns people seemed like normal law abiding citizens. The Feds knew that they'd been had, but decided it would be impossible to catch them at what they knew was going one. So they never went back and Silverton went back to being Silverton. See if the pictures help you to see why people find it so fascinating.

... thru the snow and up the mountain. Now rentals are usually driven by first timers. Guessing this guy got quite a treat and a great story to tell. I pulled over and put it back in 4 wheel drive and we preceded down the mountain. SNOW IN AUGUST! From the pictures you can't tell that 4wd is needed but I guarantee you would not get from 7000 feet to 11,000 feet on this road without it. It was great fun! We drove right along the edge of great drop offs on a single lane around curves. ...
