During the past two weeks, I have had numerous retirement gatherings. I received many plaques, gifts, and well wishes. Today at 10:30am, I officially left Turf Care and retired. I dressed up for the occasion by wearing my Hawaiian shirt. Sheila suggested I wear shorts and flip flops, but that was pushing the envelope. Today, Dave Pahl, Dave Knight, and the Reliability group gave me a going away lunch. It was a great time. I received a very ...

Waiting for our flight

Such is our fate that the rare periods when we are most inclined to actually document our lives coincide so beautifully with our childrens' developmental disfigurement. Fortunately it wasn't corn season.
The girls had a lovely time exploring the Morehead Planetarium where, among many other things, we ...

... 12, hello 13, hello love - or at least a passing fancy.

It was that kind of day for us road warriors. Unexpected moments mixed in with the business of traveling. A quick jaunt to Savannah -- a city none of us had visited before -- was both lively and wet our whistle for a longer visit during a less hot time of year. The forecast high for today was 97. Hell might be the only place hotter -- but it's a dry heat there. Oy. Fascinating place, even through the car ...
