We were once again up at 5:30 to get ready for our 7:00 departure. The hotel was very nice as it had been recently renovated. Very comfortable beds and lots of room with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast had been arranged just for our group in a private meeting room. However, they had not prepared properly for a group of 40+ people. We had been told about the 'reversing falls' in this area but didn't think we'd be able to find them. So it was by pure fortuitous chance that we stumbled across them when we were leaving town.
The tide wasn't quite right but you could see them working. Wasn't hugely impressive but would be good to see them in full working order.

If you are in Maine, only 2 hours from the Canadian border, have a day to fill and want to see some beautiful scenery then I suggest visiting Roosevelt Campobello International Park in New Brunswick as I did today.

Long drive south today, so we head for the lovely, delightful town of Saint Andrews by the sea just before we go over the border into Calais.

The weather is deliciously warm for our walk along the town's colorful main street of brightly painted historic homes.
