Had another great day for driving so away we went through Maine. ... several photos. Upon leaving Acadia we made a stop in Ellsworth, Maine to visit the L.L. Bean store that we missed on the way in. We were now ready to continue our trip up the coast. We made it to Calais, ME by late afternoon. At this point we had completed our trip up the east coast. Any further and we would have been in Canada. We will now travel on route 9 to Bangor, ME where we will rest for the night at Fairfield Inn.

I checked in and got a room on the river side of the motel, then asked for a recommendation on a place to eat. The clerk told I could pick from one of two places, a restaurant right next door or another further along in town.

... Whale called Slice (as his dorsel fin was sliced off). A bit further out we spotted a big group of birds diving down for the same fish as a pod of Harbour Porpoises. After that we found another Minky Whale called Bread Knife as he had a nick in his dorsel fin. We didn't find anything else after that and were soon heading back to shore with a cup of Iced Tea and Smoked Salmon covered cracker. ...
