Had another great day for driving so away we went through Maine. Made it across the border with the friendliest border guard we've met in a long time and stopped for the night at the Winsome Inn in St Stephen. What a great place - large, super clean room, able to pull right up to the door. Stayed in ...

We made it to Calais, ME by late afternoon. At this point we had completed our trip up the east coast. Any further and we would have been in Canada. We will now travel on route 9 to Bangor, ME where we will rest for the night at Fairfield Inn.

The clerk told I could pick from one of two places, a restaurant right next door or another further along in town.

... Whale called Slice (as his dorsel fin was sliced off). A bit further out we spotted a big group of birds diving down for the same fish as a pod of Harbour Porpoises. After that we found another Minky Whale called Bread Knife as he had a nick in his dorsel fin. We didn't find anything else after that and were soon heading back to shore with a cup of Iced Tea and Smoked Salmon covered cracker. ...
