      ... after a few miles, the tarmac disappeared, and our poor little hire car was subjected to kilometre after kilometre of dirt track road! Now, I have to say, I was thrilled! Though again, a more powerful four wheel drive car would have been better suited to the task, I had a blast!       Got to cairns midnightish- flight delayed by an hour. Hostel had a pool. Spent the day organising the rest of the holiday. Second day in cairns went to rent a car and crashed two streets later, woman idiot didn't stop and crashed although we were at fault.       ... the Aircon again and got it to turn on. Heaven!
      We then went for tea. It was free so we weren't expecting much. When we got there it was a choice of Sausage Curry or Veggie pasta. By the time we ordered there was only veggie pasta. Wasn't happy, bloody vegetarians!

      After the tea wasn't filling we went for a wander. To McDonalds.

      Headed back to the Room to use the internet. They give to a whole 300mb per day. So I ran out in half hour or ...
