      ... hostel called Gilligans for our 2 nights together, so for our first night alone we booked into a cheaper one to save as many pennies as is possible in Aus!       ... church and admired the giant trees that were brought in from Jamacia. We thought the sign on the pub "Best Pub Food in Australia" was a big call. We were tempted to test their theory but it was a bit too early for lunch so we headed off to Port Douglas instead.

      ... going snorkelling, so we got our gear and hopped on the glass bottom boat for the trip to the beach. Through the glass we could see big fish, little fish and a shark. This made a few people nervous.

      When we got to the beach we put our snorkelling gear on and headed for the water. We were the only ones without a wetsuit, but the water was 24 degrees so we were fine.
