... great. By the time we got everything up everyone was back at camp so the cooking group jumped right in and got onto preparing their curry. They served it with rice and naan and it was delish. Once everyone finished eating a few of us got onto building a fire. This was a hilarious experience with so many camp counselors all thinking they know the best way to build it. We also experienced something unexpected and not at all welcome during our stay...cold nights! Apparently, not all of Florida is treated equally in the climate department, and the Panhandle can get downright cold this time of year. Who knew?

We toughed it out and celebrated a subdued, somewhat lonely and somewhat cold Christmas on the banks of the Suwannee River. ...

... s fangs are in the back of it's mouth and it's mouth is small it has a hard time biting a human. Also, it is not the deadliest, that is reserved for the Eastern Diamondback, and it is not as aggressive as a rattler; but they do bite and when they do the victim is in grave danger. Last year a child was bitten by a coral snake around the Miami area and half the serum for the whole state was used to treat him. ...
