Road trip to Nawlins

A travel blog entry by sknodle on Apr 15, 2014

After a good night's sleep we are on the road before 6:00 am and headed to New Orleans. Birthplace of jazz and Fats Domino. We head out on US 19 hoping to see a little more of rural Florida and avoid all the trucks on Interstate 75. We toughed it out and celebrated a subdued, somewhat lonely and somewhat cold Christmas on the banks of the Suwannee River. ...

... Facility work crews' were power air-blowing debris from the edges, causing us to speculate on the cause of that flat. We were forced to change it on the side of the road, and traffic was NOT friendly! Having said that, this also causes some reflecting; WHY would traffic be generous while we were riding our bikes, but NOT friendly when we were apparently in distress!!?

A half hour later the ...
