    We're starting to go to smaller towns, staying longer, and seeing the "small stuff". This town of Libby, located way up in the northwest corner of Montana, is a perfect example. Be warned: this entry has LOTS and LOTS of photos.

    We saw Libby Dam, one of the last to be built, Kootenai Falls and the Swinging Bridge, murals and quirky stuff ...

    ... off any locals by driving back there...and most importantly I didn't want any altercations. Well....I stayed the course and drove down this gravel road, crossed some tracks and zig zagged back to a spot where I finally saw national forest signs again. Then as I made me way up a hill and around a bend there it was....Upper Stillwater. I made it!

    ... 1m out of Hope village, called Beyond Hope and it is to my massive regret that I didn't stop to snap this wondeful sign - especially as the day was going to live up to the billing.

    I continued on and after 28m stopped for my breakfast a bit dismayed that I had taken nearly 2 and a half hours to get there. I had started to follow a mountain stream up hill & the wind was in my face, fortunately it would change during the day ...
