... went, Chip started a fire while I made bottles and fed babies. We just got settled in by the fire and it started to snow. It was a picturesque morning to open presents and enjoy this first Christmas as a family of four. The boys settled in for their morning nap around 9 but by noon we had stuffed them in their snowsuits for a walk in the snow (which had accumulated to at least 3-4 inches by then). That evening we ...

      ... so I'll take it!

Well, all good things must come to an end (maybe Chip wasn't thinking this...) but we sent him back to work on May 19th. His 8 weeks off went way too fast and I cannot stress what a difference it made having him take leave during the first few months of the boys' lives. They are so busy, eat all the time, and want to be loved and held constantly. It would ...

... other day in the babies' room, envisioning life after giving birth. Before this point I had been anxious, scared, not prepared...but now, I feel ready. We have the swings, bottles, newborn clothes, crib sheets washed, and our hospital bag packed. I've come to terms with how the birth process may or may not go (we have a 50% chance of delivering both babies normally vs c section). There ...
