... am used to being looked at differently when I come to China. I rarely notice it any more. But at times on this trip, it became a bit overwhelming. One such place was Xilin Hot in Inner Mongolia! I could not go more than 5 feet without another group of giggling locals shyly coming up and wanting me in a photo with them! I have had parents push shy kids towards me to practice a ...

... city with a youthful vibe and energy.

Today I got up early and took a ferry out to Gulangyu to beat the crowds and the heat. The island, known also as, Piano Island, has no cars or motor bikes. A very welcome change. "At 10.30 this morning I headed out for the day with someone from the school. We jumped in a taxi and went to see the university and a temple. After that we headed to his for lunch and we played PS3 til 3pm. Then we went out with another group to play a complicated puzzle game. It was a really fun but tiring day" - BigStu

Whassup homies!!

The last few days have been a bit of a blur, and we have had limited access to Wifi, so here's a wee summary of our last few days.

"Our last day in Yuxi, it certainly didnt feel like that. First thing we ventured off to a sweet factory which made all sorts of fruit sweets. Second we had lunch on a giant spinny table - the biggest I've seen so far! Last of all we went back to the school for PE where we played football against the students" - BigStu
