... to the beach and found ourselves a space in amongst the crowds. Almost immediately the clouds came over and it remained cloudy for the rest of our time there, albeit still reasonably warm. In amongst the families playing in the water, flying fish were jumping, but didn't stay out of the water for long enough to capture on camera. The clouds lifted, just as we returned to the car. ... The music was the best I've heard since Sea Monster, also in Fort Lauderdale, closed down a few years back. All old school disco, and gay 70's/80's classics. Had a couple of drinks, and the only thing spinning was me on the dance floor, especially when they played The Boss. DISCO HEAVEN! Got a sandwich and some lovely fried green tomatoes on the way home, and slept like a log! Adam's got his mojo back! Happy, happy, happy. ...
... On the way back, we passed a huge two huge iguanas (we are talking at least 3 feet) and First Mate made a mental note not to walk outside at night.
We stayed for four pleasant days and nights in Fort Lauderdale. It was an interesting town. It is no longer the place for spring break that it used to be but is still very crowded. The strip by the beaches has tons of shops and restaurants and it is pleasant to stroll down the sidewalks if one does not mind being jostled by ...

Ten bars cater to the thirsty...we upgraded to stateroom package that included an unlimited premium drink package :-) There are multiple entertainment venues and options including an ice show, performance and movie theaters, lounge acts, dancing, karaoke, sports, pools, hot tubs, etc. We hope to utilize most of these over the next fourteen days!
Tomorrow, Nassau, Bahamas....
... tour with some friends. They’re Queen’s Grill folks, so we won’t see very much of them. However, we are delightfully surprised when we see Conrad and Ellen boarding as “in transit” folks. They remember us as well and we have a wonderful reunion as we wait to check-in. Conrad and Ellen were our dinner compatriots on the QM2—we were united against a horrible couple from South Africa, who were so demanding ...
