... Wawona campground in the dark. The next day our journey at Yosemite national park was kicked of with weather we really weren't used to having just come from LA, It was raining and cold! After breakfast and tea we drove to Yosemite valley where we undertook a walk up the mountains, to the Yosemite falls and down again to Mirror Lake. About 7 hours in total. The hikes were ...

Well we were lucky today, the weather held out for us for our flight to the Grand Canyon. We were transferred from our hotel to an airport just north of Las Vegas. Barstow looked like a bigish place on the map so we headed there hoping to find somewhere to sleep for the night. There were plenty of motels but as Darren put it - will we be murdered in our beds here??? We just had a very uneasy feeling about the place...sorry Barstow it looked like a s**t hole!

Finally on our way out of California. We hit the road pretty early and made our way out the 15 toward Vegas. We stopped in Baker to try out this Mad Greek roadside diner. These guys are boasting the best Gyros in the USA so we gave it a shot. I'd never heard of this place but I think they might be a chain but I don't know . Anyway, it was ...
