... a week ago( the old one had melted) only to have it fail again when we went to a state park to dump out. They are coming back again on Tues and hopefully they have figured out the cause. We had a great week in RI. We spent most of the time with our son but did manage to spend some time with good friends as well. We even managed a few games of Mahjong. Hope everyone is ...

We had to take the hike up Prospect Mountain. It was almost 2 miles to the top and it was a hike straight up! It was a great hike and once at the top the views were fantastic. On a real clear day they say you can see a 100 miles. It wasn't that clear but we could see pretty good. We thought the only way up was to hike but found a big parking lot at the top. We are glad we did the hike ...

The state owns numerous islands where you can camp with limited amenities, but you must have a boat as that is the only way to ...

Our drive from Danville, Vermont to Lake George, NY was only 146 miles, but with road construction and traffic it took us 4 hours. We arrived at our campground, King Phillips and got a very nice spot with plenty of grass to walk the dogs.

The traffic is really bad as this place is packed with tourists, especially the weekend. The Village of ...

Lake George, up state New York. Beautiful spot which reminds us so much of Taupo as everything revolves around the lake and rivers in the area. Small villages and resorts around the lake make it extremely popular in summer but advertises winter activities so must stay open all year round. Not sure what happens to the ice cream shops on every corner in winter? Yummy interesting ...
