Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada swissbear... well and was very light. There is not much out there and therefore little traffic. It is pretty country looking much like the upper Midwest. There are a lot of farms, rolling hills and water abounds.

We rode across the US border at Madawaska Maine at about 11:00am today and got to our checkpoint a few minutes later. We were delayed, not due to normal border traffic but because they decided to search our bag, bikes, etc. The good news ...

Madawaska, Maine, United States a3dennert... a Deliverance nightmare at first but the quietly babbling brook (which actually does sound like a babble, or maybe more like bubbling?) a few feet from out tent was very soothing. I had a brief moment of panic when I thought, oh yes that's exactly what they want, to lull you into a false sense of security with the tranquility of the surroundings...but it passed. I discovered that charcoal BBQs are difficult to light with old briquettes and that you can't actually ...
Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada sirene... one has to be the most original! So, what's happening in St-Louis-du-Ha!Ha!? Not much. I decided though, that Wills and I would do our Quebec run there, just so that we could say we had been there and wouldn't forget the name. Well, let me tell you - running in St-Louis-du-Ha!Ha! was no laughing matter!! It was hilly - everywhere! We started in the parking lot of the local ornate church and made the decision (executive, by Sandra. Wills ...
Grand Falls,, New Brunswick, Canada sanmutschOn the rememberance day afternoon, (last sunday) around 2:30 PM, I went on a small roadtrip with the Dixons to the town Ray was born in, Grand Falls. About a 2 hour drive, pretty scenic, way more kick ass than the mountains. I listen to country music the whole way there (and back). A lot of Jason Aldean's song "Johnny Cash". We made our first stop at a Tim Hortins on the way ...
Grand falls, New Brunswick, Canada littlefeen... but looked really nice...the guy didn't speak a word of english...but a kind person staying there helped out! The site was amazing....right on the river and a nature reserve thing...birds and reeds and an amazing sunset! Had a campfire and cooked good food...oh yeah and cracked open the beer....just like a real camping experience should be!! Made me happy anyway! (and made the pointless but fun day worthwhile!)

Acadia, Maine, United States exploreamerica... impressive views of Bar Harbor, numerous islands and the ocean. Later I explored the surrounding towns and harbors. I froze in a tent in the upper 30's.
