... what is called the archives studio. We saw a 15 minute movie showing Elvis in the many live performances he performed from his beginnings until the end of his career and life. It was interesting so see him begin as a very young but strong man and watch the progression of an unhealthy man emerge. Following that we were invited to look at a few artifacts from his life in another room. The guide said that in all, they have over 80,000 artifacts in storage ...

Why this was all so important to a boy growing up in the suburbs of Adelaide was a question I never answered until many years later. By then, Beale Street, had gone thru a ghost town phase and been redeveloped into a National Historic Landmark, officially declared the "Home of the Blues" by an act of Congress the year Elvis died. Today Beale Street is tourist Mecca, but I couldn't care less. ...

... historical site, were we saw
the museum about the civil rights and the little rock 9, it was an
interesting museum, lots to read and understand. The it was back on
the coach. The last part of the journey i listened to podcasts for a
bit, then we arrived in Memphis.

First of all we did a quick driving tour to see the
sights including some of the museums, Beale street and the stadiums.
We then arrived at the hotel – the comfort ...
