For lunch we dropped into Easy Over's in Cuttingsville for tasty toasted sandwiches then off to the famous Pearce's Store. This is the local general store where you'll find Lavinia, one of the colourful local personalities who welcomed us warmly. As a memento of our visit Scott purchased a Pearce's Store t-shirt to show off back home.
Our day finished up with a feast of pork ribs, collard, kale and potato salad prepared by ...

Hope you all enjoy our travels along with us!
Yesterday we took a drive to Lake Placid, site of the 1980 Olympics (also 1932). It was really crowded with people so it must be the place to get away from it all. We just had lunch and then drove around a bit. The Adirondacks is a beautiful area that is heavily forested and has lots of lakes. The mountains are not as high as we are used to. Today we just relaxed a bit and explored the area around our campground.
Tomorrow we are off to Vermont.
