On Wednesday, went to San Diego by Amtrak - 5hr journey. Met Judy at the Horton Plaza.
Had a fantastic dinner at a Persian restaurant Soltan Banoo. Had breakfast with Judy.
In the evening went to the Gaslamp area with lots of music. Ended up in a pub with Blues music.

... amazing to be able to be close enough to come back for a visit easily. This morning Talia is outside for one more play with her Papa and Jess has headed to the dr. for her six weeks post partum and Chloe lies beside me on the couch. It has been so great to easily just come lend a hand for a few days again and give Jess and Brent a little break.

... to cool down so a nice ice cream was on the cards.

The monster truck as virtually empty so we went to fill it up. I tried to swipe my card 3 times and it didn’t work so into the store I go. The attendant asked how much we wanted to fill up so I said no idea as this was the first time. Out I trotted and $109.20 later back to see the attendant I went. The car took 26 gallons of petrol, hope we don’t have to fill her up too much.

... of the ones here made me slightly nauseous just watching. Having exhausted all tickets, we left the fair, embarking on our walk back to our happy home in Del Mar.
