    ... realising we'd missed our turn and headed back in the opposite direction. The city was extremely quiet and traffic was light, so we found our hotel with very little trouble and were pleased to find it was a very nice one. The multi-storey car park even looked out over the city baseball park, where there was a game in progress. Unimpeded views of the game were tempting, but after a long days driving, so was bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit shorter...

    ... two black square arches one for 9.01am a minute before the bomb went off when the city was still at peace and the other at 9.03am the minute after the bomb went off where the city was plunged into despair. There are also bronze chairs set up in 9 rows in the garden representing each victim. Each chair placed in correspondence to the which floor they were killed on.     ... parallels Route 66 in a lot of places. We jumped off the interstate twice and rode along the old part of the road. One of the times was in McLean, Texas. There is an old mural of Elvis next to a yellow Cadillac from the old days there and we took a picture of it. We finally got to the KOA around 8:20 and got our tent put up real quick and our air mattresses inflated. I also finally got a shower and hopefully got that sand washed out of my hair.
