Time with the Grand Babies

... and clover, had a good time, Dixie took us around the area, she road a 4 wheeler and we (Larry, Lane, and Marge) road the ranger side by side.....it was cool to look at the changes of the colors on the trees and seeing deer out in the fields. ... on the ground from coast to coast. So was a uneventful drive, we went to the wedding rehearsal (do not know why) but was GREAT to see the grandbabies, Our kids have wonderful babies, enjoyed holding all of them.....and enjoyed seeing my kids again. So we are here until Sun. and heading back to Sue's house on monday. So the wedding is tomorrow, looking forward to it, but really enjoy seeing kids and grandbabies the most....until neaxt time, which should be next wed. CYA down the ...

The highlight of that stay was waking up to a flock of very friendly ducks outside my room. They were so cute, I just had to feed them all the graham crackers I had bought to make S'mores at the campground in NY. Just as well, we couldn't build a fire anyway, and Pokey Bob forgot his camp stove.

... neither injury was serious. We definitely were more careful after that.

We also did odd maintenance jobs including: cutting up trees that fell during a storm, splitting logs for fire wood, and maintaining paths. One of our favorite jobs was to prepare and cook pizzas in the outdoor brick oven for twice weekly pizza night. It was a lot of fun and the pizza ...

... we might like to go along to the show which was on over 4 days. We went on the last day not sure what to expect – some guys chopping wood I guess – but were amazed by a new type of woodmanship – chainsaw carving!!! We watched about a dozen men carve beautiful wooden statues and benches out of logs of wood using just chainsaws. Had to be seen to be believed.
