This morning we sadly say goodbye to New Orleans and head off to our next destination. We're not exactly certain where we will end up tonight, but have an intention to follow a bit of a blues trail to Indianola then Clarksdale. It is about 5 hours or so to Clarksdale, so not sure if we want to drive that far. We arrived in Clarksdale, the home of the Delta Blues and Morgan Freemanīs club, Club Zero with not much of an idea of what the town had to offer, but it was in the travel guide and so we set about exploring.

Clarksdale, like a lot of the Mississippi isnīt a rich area and this was obvious by the city centre. It was the place time ...

... by the owner of the Cat Head. Would you believe we hear a slightly familiar accent when the waitress talks to us - when we ask Meghan is half Australian, half Canadian. Partner to a Mississippian, she moved to Clarksdale from Melbourne. What a cultural shock that must have been. She says she is the only person in town who rides a bike and the locals don't ask how are you but who are you? Nevertheless she likes it and things ...
