Before leaving Memphis, we stopped by the National Civil Rights Museum located at the Lorraine Motel. The second floor balcony of this motel was the site of Martin Luther Kings assassination back on April 4th 1968. The museum was recently redone and expanded and was preparing for a grand reopening this weekend on the 46th anniversary of his death.
