... at times, with views everywhere we arrived at the summit to find snow!!! We took pictures, wished our new friends a safe journey & headed downhill. Oh my that was when the storm hit!!! Thunder, lightening, rain, hail, everything the mountain could throw at us. We sheltered for 3 mins under the edge of a notice board but realised we needed to get off the mountain. So Chris worked his way down with no glasses, avoiding rocks & ...

We leave Mueller, with a little sigh because the park is so beautiful. We travel north and west to get to our next park. We go through a pass called Glenwood Canyon. This is a narrow canyon that is miles long. It is only wide enough for the Colorado River and the Interstate. This canyon is so narrow, that they had to stack the Interstate on top of each other. The lunatics who designed this place took full advantage of the thousand foot cliff faces surrounding the park. For example the roller-coaster extends out over the edge of the canyon for that little ...

... lead up to this trip. There was not going to be a lot of hiking or sightseeing here. We were just going to chill for a few days. The temps were in the 90's so we inflated a Kayak and a tube and headed to the beach. You can see by the pic of Colby in the tube that he is doing much better. He seems to be on the mend. Thank God for that because this boy was really sick.

So here we are in Rifle Colorado on the Fourth of July. What to ...

At Rifle we exit onto SR 6 for a very short stretch. Interestingly, this is the same SR 6 that crosses the entire USA from East to West coast, including the norther tier of Pennsylvania, which I have ridden with my youngest son, Corey.

    We stop at ...
