... looking at my phone when it happened! When we got almost to St. Louis, we got off the highway to go to a place called Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park. I read this was the best spot to get a picture of the Arch and the St. Louis skyline. When we got there we had the place to ourselves so we got some great photos! ... pita chips, two of them covered in BBQ sauce. He instructed us to taste it dry first and then the one with BBQ. After one bite we were both fans. It felt like a thick kettle fried chip just a bit harder and tasted like a pork rind with deep smoky flavor and without the overwhelming salt. After the dry run we moved on to the BBQ covered bits. The dry bites were good but the bites with BBQ were delicious. The tanginess of the BBQ sauce ...

... Heard on the news next morning that there was 15 shootings in St. Louis last night. Hence the sirens blasting all night. Won't be attempting any walks like that again.
Unable to do a river cruise because of flooding.
    Next day.
Had a 'Proud Mary' Burger at a little café for lunch. Relaxing swim in the park pool at the park.
Later on we caught a cab to the Oyster Bar down at the 'happening place' of Soulade to take in some live ...
