    ... the house, and set everything up for being gone for two weeks. This year that included, but was not limited to, finding new homes for the boys' pet turtles (it was on the agenda anyway, why not do it before we leave?), putting our 13 year old cat to sleep (see previous note), and arranging a house sitter (the simplest of the three tasks!).

    ... sausage sandwiches. The others got hamburgers, tasting like the (horse?) meat was put in a blender, greasy & close to the raw state. Since the clouds began dripping their liquid and the guys did not have their rain gear, we girls hiked back to hotel to accommodate them (we had rain jackets). Met up with them & got tram tickets to see some of the surrounding area and also did a fair amount of walking in spite of the weather.
