    Very budget accomodation

Nice cheap, comfortable, whistle stop at $60 for a double room.
Easy access wifi, but the breakfast left a lot to be desired. Supposed to be continental, but all you got was tea, coffee, orange juice and a choice of little donut things. Not even cereal and toast.
Not continental by international standards. Thus the two star rating.
Otherwise quite good, although the staff were not very friendly upon checking in. The guy behind the counter in the morning was a little more friendly, but not much.
They have a long way to go in the field of customer relations.

Our hosts had to go to work early, so we headed off about the same time, saying goodbye for now until we meet again. The first plan was to set the GPS to Godley, Illinois as we wanted to do a bit of the Route 66 that we missed on the last trip. However, the GPS ended up trying to take us there through Chicago via the freeways. We quickly got sick …

Had a parking issue with our first hotel so had to cancel reservations there and move on to another one. We landed at the Joliet Plaza & Inn, formerly the Budget Inn or something like that. It was obvious that the motel was quite old but we were tired and had to stop for the night so as not to go over our DOT hours.

Our room was, to be kind, ok. We ...

First I would like to thank my wife Julie for her support and encouragement. Without her none of these trips I've done over the years would've been possible. Second I would like to think my father for taking me on my very first motorcycle journey when I was nine. That motorcycle trip on the Harley-Davidson loaded with camping gear and fishing poles planted the seed for what became a ...

Finally, the third anchoring point is Cozumel, Mexico. There I will be partaking in the Blue Water SeaTrek Helmet Dive and Snorkel! What a mouthful, but thankfully it's not of water! I will be wearing an astronaut styled helmet with an attached air hose so that I can explore the ocean floor and it's inhabitants that are about 30 feet below the surface! Now ...

This was our first introduction to the adult version of Brock, as it had been years (and years and years) since seeing him last. I may be a bit prejudiced but you'd have to try REALLY, REALLY hard not to like and/or love this guy!

And... as Billy is fast learning on this Odyssey of ours, that trait MIGHT ...
