The initial rapids were quite tame so hopes were high for the post lunch leg as we were advised that the rapids were wild from that point on....and they were!
Had a great afternoon, both Karen and I had turns on the individual kayak which was a totally different (and better) perspective. There was bumps and slides and waves ...
... dry barren and lumpy appearance. We tracked it for a few miles before veering off to the Salmon River and Salmon Canyon.
The final leg was an ascent of 5,000 ft to the alpine town of McCall, Idaho. This place was like an oasis in a sea of madness and untamed mayhem...we like it and the vibe was cool, the food was delicious and fresh and the people actually looked normal!
Wish we were staying here for more than 2 nights.

In between visits we took several walks around the RV resort. This resort is beautifully maintained, located in a beautiful location and has wonderful amenities. In our opinion, it is well worth the $39 a day fee. Oh, yes, at the back of the property is the Payette River- just more eye candy for us city slickers. What a nice place to stay.
