OK you don't like to drive. Why not fly into McCall airport to spend a few relaxing days at this most beautiful location? And why not take a tour of the Smokejumper headquarters? Or take a tour boat out onto the lake? Or visit one of the many wonderful restaurants or specialty shops. Like the outdoors? How about a day or a week at Ponderosa State Park or snow skiing at Brundage Mountain Resort. Wow, for a four block long town there is a lot to see ...

... I notice the many water drips have frozen as they ran down the siding of the RV. By 0800 those frozen drops are starting to thaw. It's time to pack up and head out. That will be easy as we have a minimal amount of hardware to store and we never disconnected the truck from the coach.

Off we go and drive through the beautiful Grande Ronde Valley. We have snow capped mountains to the east and west of us. Beauty everywhere one gazes. About 45 minutes down the road ...

Interstate from Salt Lake to Boise (about 360 miles). Uneventful and kind of pretty. Learning to pass trucks at 80mph with less anxiety - the bike is so stable, it's really just a question of hanging on and letting her do her thing (her name is Audrey, by the way).

... a waste.this has been the first cold day we have had and I must say I had to get all my winter gear out including wearing one of Jays jackets. The sun came out in the late afternoon and we were able to have a BBQ on the balcony. It has been nice to enjoy a relaxing day and yarning over some beer and wine - well Gary drinks my share.
