    ... cool city, we didn't see the touristy part of the city to much but we walked the streets and drank some coffee and ate some Irish pastries, they were pretty delicious. We only had two hours there so we didn't see to much, but we had a good time.     Hello all! Greetings from Ireland! We have been on Gurteen farm now for 3 days. We arrived in Dublin at 11 am Thursday morning (there is an 8 hour time difference between pacific and here) and immediately went to found a bus that would take us to Clonmel.     ... turns and no passing lanes. This was actually a very historic drive as it included parts of the trail that Lewis and Clarke had undertaken as part of their epic journey to discover the north west passage...these two explorers are everywhere around the west coast and I am surprised that they are not as revered as other famous Americans of the time like Lincoln and Jefferson as their contribution was arguably as great.

    ... head out east on Interstate 84 passing Cascade Locks, then Hood River. We expected the rain to lessen the farther east we traveled. It did but not completely. Our friend Jim said that by the time we reached The Dalles rain would be but a memory. Wrongo, James! Rainfall is still with us! We continue on past Boardman, and Pendleton.     ... took us for a tour around the Palette National Park where they had a devastating fire in 1994 with a huge majority of the park lost. This fire also threatened their place and was only metres from it. Jays brother was here at the time and he escaped on his boat with just some family pictures.
