We woke up to sunshine which was the first we had seen in days so I was sort of feeling torn between racing home or spending a few moments checking out the Lake. We eventually ended up at Lake Champlain where we crossed the bridge and took a short walk to see the Lake Champlain lighthouse. Normally I think you could drive back to it but it was blocked off due to the season closing of the camping area. ... at night, there were runners with headlamps and glow sticks on them charging past the entrance to our camp sight. Flashing light pylons lit their way along with scores of race road guards and supporters. The next day, 90 miles north, we ran into the same runners again. It turns out this was a “Ragnar Relay” run.
