... then pottied the hounds. D reminded me that we still needed to get dinner. But none of us were really too hungry. So we decided on a trip to Coldstone for an Ice Cream Dinner. The kids were THRILLED at that suggestion.
Once back to the hotel we all had much needed showers and D worked on downloading all my gazillion pictures, while I snoozed. Tomorrow is, thankfully, a sleep in day!

... River Rafters on the other hand are captives of the current and must go downstream. They only realize the dangers of the rapids when they are almost upon them. It seems to me this is a metaphor for life. Life seems placid as a river flowing downstream and we rarely are made aware of the whisper of the threat of the rapids until we are consumed by them. ... time the next few days was spent in Yellowstone National Park. There was so much to see and do and we were absolutely impressed by this park. On our first visit through the park we crossed the border into Wyoming and saw some elk by the side of the road within the first 10 minutes. Upon leaving that night we saw our first bison, a Mother and a baby. A great start to a great visit!

We pushed hard today, and it was a challenging drive for the car up through the mountains and back down... and then up again. However, we, the car, and the animals all did great.
