  • Our first destination was a short walk to the Vintage Car & Machinery Museum. No we are not a couple of rev heads, but you do not have to be one to enjoy this Vintage car collection. The oldest vehicle on display is a 1907 De Dion-Bouton . All rather good looking vehicles, beautifully restored by the local citizens, and exists due to the excellent voluntary efforts by the locals. So very well displayed as well.

Day 2 we went to the Hooker valley and saw Mt. Cook and more glaciers.

Day 3 we did the Kea Point and Sealy Tarns hikes. Sealy Tarns is stairs stairs and more stairs. The view of Mt. Cook and Hooker valley/glacier is awesome ...

... gone wrong. It was no surprise to us when we didn’t see them at the end. We finished our day in the mountains with what would be our final hot water spring soak at Lake Tekapo. It was truly how all walks should end.

SUN-SHINE ALERT! Something unexpected happened to us the next morning; we awoke to the beaming forgotten face of the sun. Like a community support officer the sun had caused the mountain loitering mist to ...
