... long drive but it was a very persistent Supercell near Valentine, SD.

Around Thedford we caught up with the cell and played dodge the Hail core for a bit, taking some structure pictures all the while. Up over a ridge it gave it a good go, with circulation attempting to drop, but just couldn't get the job done.

On the way back to North Platte, we were surrounded by a few cells that gave us an amazing lightning show to watch. I still find ...

... back on as it got a bit humid. Hopefully that's the last of the jetlag.

The tour only has 7 guests so it hasn't taken us long to gel, we've got a fascinating mix of people and all are here for some fun. I'm really glad I get to chase with Kevin and Scott of the Basehunters (who most people sent me their timelapse of the Newcastle supercell last year). General silliness abound. :)

... gardens and spend the night. When I got there, there was a severe storm warning with heavy rain, 60 mph winds, 1 - 2 inch hail and possible tornadoes. I decided to head east instead.
