Today we drove 381 miles, 2/3 of them since 7:30 p.m, from awesome Hot Sulphur Springs, CO, to terrible North Platte, NE. Weather was partly cloudy with a high of 72 in the afternoon. At about 3p.m. The clouds rolled in threatening. It rained once and then it was just furious lightning. This low won't let us be.

A very long day of driving followed our departure from Jackson. Down US 191 to I-90 and across southern Wyoming and half of Nebraska. Lots of farms and wind warnings. Finally we saw some windmills. You would think this would be an area filled with windmills for solar ...
