A frantic week, late night for last minute packing and an early morning= tired travellers before the trip has even begun! After the our very pleasant stay at Batemans Bay we felt spoilt and reminded ourselves that when choosing campsites we had to take the good with the bad. With that in mind we headed for the Tuross Beach Holiday Park and promptly scored a site right on the beach! Literally only a few metres of grass and there was the sand. ... so we caught the train into Sydney and made a quick trip to Mick Simmons sports store to pick up a couple of NRL items. Had a walk around and a look through the QV shopping arcade - such a beautiful building. Made our way back and packed and headed to the airport. ... of the hail. Again we didn't really get too the worst of it but it's close enough to claim! Apart from the erratic weather this week there's actually not been a great deal going on. Through the week we didn't leave the house but to venture for necessities from the food shops - getting nicely soaked en route. That was until Thursday night when Vicky headed to netball, their third win on the bounce! Vicky's been playing centre and they haven't lost since that tactical change! ...
... br> Then a bit further to a what turned out to be a fantastic restaurant. Absolutely great meal with great service. Only issue was you couldn't hear anything or see anything. Our pathetic candle didn't do much at all. Anyway we really enjoyed it. Janette had a nice chat with me & all I had to do was nod every 15 minutes. A really lovely evening away from the tourist areas and still being allowed into the young places (no discounts for pensioners though!).
