... majority of the islands uninhabited. The remaining 190 or so islands are home to some of the most exotic resorts in the world and many are destinations for the (very) wealthy of the world. The contrasts, while not extreme, will be very interesting.
I will be based in the capital city of Male' - an island of less than 2 square kilometers that is home to more than 80,000 people. By all accounts, a modern, but crowded place.
Next stop - Washington DC for another layover!
