It's a lonely road, but not necessarily ugly

I pretended it was only chocolate, but used my mascot dog Tanny as a pillow instead. Even he wanted to leave the room and sleep outside like we always do because, in his words, this motel "made him feel itchy".

They still have active mines in Ely on an industrial scale. I have ...

Ely, Nevada - 1st overnight stop!

How ironic is it that my 1st overnight stop is similar to my brother's name Eli?! Except for Ely is pronounced as Eee-lee. I think mom must have planned that one. We finally arrived to this quaint town after 8 hours of driving. We checked into the Hotel Nevada. When it opened in 1929, it was the tallest building in the state. This place is bursting at the seams with character ...
