... some of the 'voices' coming through the walls. I don't mean to pick on the place, but one pillow case had either blood or chocolate stains on it. I pretended it was only chocolate, but used my mascot dog Tanny as a pillow instead. Even he wanted to leave the room and sleep outside like we always do because, in his words, this motel "made him feel itchy".

They still have active mines in Ely on an industrial scale. I have ...

... no frills hotel staff, deer heads and old guns on the wall, old time murals, small casino, walk of fame of past Hollywood guests. You can even stay in the Mickey Rooney room (which the cleaning lady let me check out)! This place is even dog friendly, gives drink coupons and is only $50/night. Now that’s my kind of deal!
