We felt rather sorry for all those in cars with a roof as they were only getting half the experience and missing out big time.

Today was a day for animal spotting. We saw several deer (rather skinny and scraggy looking) a dead fox, several dead possum and skunk and ...

We felt like we were being transported to another place though. when we got to the waterfall, it was probably one of the top 5 experiences on this trip. There were a couple of other people there that day (6 in total), some fishing below the river. ... around us were safe and careful as they passed our car. We also got to drive through some of the college campuses in the area on our way to the 101, which were as beautiful as you can imagine; lots of greenery (har har) everywhere. Outside of the Bay Area, we took a scenic route through Napa and Sonoma to check out wine country. Even though the season has long passed, the miles of vineyards on gently rolling hills was worth the extra drive. We stopped over at ...
