Vanochtend om 9u een begeleide strandwandeling gedaan. We hebben uitleg gekregen over de zee-schildpadden die hun eitjes komen begraven en over schelpen. Op een bepaald moment kwamen er weer 2 dolfijnen voorbij, dus alle aandacht ging daar even naar :) Daarna onze koffers gaan pakken want we moesten om 11u uit de kamer. We hebben wel nog handdoeken …
Tis the night before flight, only 1 creature remain stirring, while the other is with wine and close to his sight blurring. Only 4 1/2 hours away... wait, this d@m- autocorrect on this new phone keeps leading thou words astray...anyway... the creature still packs to the husband's dismay. To be connived...or ...
... by the sea and had fun people watching. I saw a couple that were playing with their cell pones and didn't look at each other, nor speak for a good half hour. Dang, wassup wit dat ??.
Soon it was time to motor back home to ol Charlie and relax a bit before it got dark. I did walk across the foot bridge on the resort and over to the little island. It is a peaceful place and I'm glad I spent a few days there. I may even come back one ...
... Charlie's - it was like 'the best of everything' in Naples. Rick and Peter had a beer at a local pub. Then we went back to Peter and Gail's for a drink until it was time to walk next door to a restaurant for dinner. It was great to see them both and we really enjoyed seeing the area where they winter. Wednesday FEB 11: moving to PENSACOLA today. We left in good time and arrived at our new park around 12:30/1:00. After getting set up and running a couple of errands ...
... started a course in Swahili (I hope I don't need to rely on my language skills for much), and, oh yeah, began planning a return trip to Africa in 2015. More on that much later.
We're now ready to return home after our winter sabbatical. It's been good, but now the real prep for Africa begins. Wish me luck!
