    We left Boston behind this morning for our trip to Mystic. It is called this after an Indian tribe and also it is on the river Mystic. We had an excursion booked at a place called the Plimoth Plantation. This is a reconstruction of the first settlement of the pilgrims that settled their colony there.     ... piece of fish on a bun with lettuce and tomato, and a large cup of clam chowder. The flaky fish was lightly battered so that it was not greasy. The chowder was also very good. Good food and lots of it!

    After lunch, we drove to Narragansett Pier. We looked for a pier, but could not find one. Instead, we found a beautiful old stone gate to the city, and a very nice beach.

    We awoke feeling much better on Thursday and headed to the Cliff Walk. This is basically a sanctioned 3.5 mile sticky beak with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and huge mansions aligning the cliff face on the other.
