This place brought back memories. The only other time I was in Jacksonville, NC was last year when Charlotte got the big snowstorm that had the airport shut down off and on for 4 days (mostly shut down). I got stuck in Jacksonville, NC from Tuesday morning at 8:30 till we left on Friday morning at 11:00. There are only 3 gates at this airport, very small. I was happy to see that we stayed in a nicer area and there were a lot stuff around the hotel. ...

After stopping at a cute little coffee shop to warm up our bodies we made our way back to the van and found ourselves a campsite. So as I said before, NC ...

... invests in nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to building an equitable, sustainable, vibrant state and communities, such as the NC Coastal Federation. Every so often the foundation does a profile on one of the nonprofit organizations that they support. This week at Jones Island was our lucky week to be profiled. They brought cameras of all sorts and a crew-of-two ready to get muddy in the oyster reefs alongside us. They interviewed a handful of volunteers ...

      Finally a beautiful day!

Keith and I went for our early morning hour beach walk.

After we returned and had breakfast, Keith, Tim and Ruth Ann headed for Moores Creek Battlefield. You might wonder why Ruth Ann did not stay back on the beach? Well, actually, she is NOT a lay-in-the-sun kind of person. She would rather get her sun walking ...
