      ... Monday—An overcast day and was cold. Last night we had made reservations to go to the White Mt tomorrow so will do groceries and some other shopping today and pack. Left at 1 and shopped till 5:30—but did a lot of little things that needed doing. Supper was beef stew from Kimberly and apple bread too. Both very good. A drink at Sabatino’s and off to bed.

She came to USA when she was 12 and is now 61-a very young looking 61 too-and her daughter is college here, in mental health, which brought Phil to his book and they are planning to buy it.       ... in Las Vegas!! This really shook me up! I can’t stop thinking about it and the one in Nevada! But finally on home to find a paper posted to call the gas company to come out and purge our gas lines and restart the gas. Now we have to just wait-sometime tonight or tomorrow.
