... we walked through the town, across the Green and through a covered bridge to start our hike. We followed the wide and easy carriage trails for a while then veered off onto the aptly named Precipice Walk. Well, there was a bit of a drop on one side, but hardly 'hold your breath' stuff. We were up early because there was still one thing we wanted to see before we moved on. They call it the "tidal bore" and it occurs during the incoming tide on the rivers flowing into the Bay of Fundy. Delayed my departure until 0730 hours, after I went across the street from the motel to a gas station and asked if any of the truckers had just come north on I-95. One piped up and said yep, why? How's the fog, I ask. Thick as pea soup 'bout 30 minutes south. You are good to go, he says. So, off ...

Met Larry at 0545 at the Bob Evans in Willoughby, OH, and instead of eating an early breakfast we decided to hit the road to get through some construction on I-90 before the traffic started up. Stopped at 0730 hours for breakfast at Denny's, then on the road!

Great weather, minimal traffic and construction. However, We came upon an accident shortly after crossing into Pennsylvania. A U-Haul ...
