... the majority of the trip prior to leaving. Then I did a month in Africa and Egypt with E and that was with 2 tour companies, and we stayed in 3 star hotels. But for whatever reason, I have wanted to be able to describe myself as a "real traveller". Someone who doesn't plan, goes for extended periods of time, backpacks and stays in hostels, meets new people and goes with the flow along the way. ... Breakfast lunch or dinner! I did feel a bit ashamed when 18 year old boys were knocking up lasagnes from scratch and i had toast but hey. The free food shelf at the hostel was cracking and helped me out loads.
