    Woke up to very cloudy day, but good for my 3 mile walk. After grabbing a bite to eat and knowing it was supposed to be raining for awhile along Big Sur, we decided to take the freeway to LA instead of the long winding Highway 1 along the ocean, which we had done many times.

    Thursday, May 21, 2015. PCT day 32. Miles 541.5-566. I made it to Mojave, CA today. I left Tylerhorse Canyon, where I camped and the last natural water source, at 7am. This stretch was all on trail, yet there was still considerable burn areas. The trail topped out at 6200 feet elevation at mile 549.5, where i was surprised to find a water cache that trail angels maintain.     4712 Kilometers Today we are staying in a desert. When we arrived there as absolutely nobody else in the campground but lots of others came when it got darker.
