Day 28 - Los Angeles - California
... crack of dawn. Never mind, gives me more time by the pool, at least I've got that bit right. But I eventually had to pack the bathers away, check out and move on today to LA. As I left Palm Springs I saw the biggest wind farm I've ever seen, hundreds of wind turbines in a row. Awesome! But then a few minutes later not so awesome as the car was nearly lifted off the road and I had to hang on ...

Oh, one of the park staff was called "Ariel", that was actually her name - I asked her! Guess what movie her Mum was a big fan of? ;)
Had a few dramas getting our bags out of the lockers but managed to make it back to the bus 10 mins early. Phew! These guys leave you behind if you're not there within 5mins of the pickup time. That's an expensive tax fare back to LA!

Michalovi a Evě se, tak jako i minulý rok, kdy s námi cestovali po Kanadě, podařilo vyřídit si opět měsíc dovolené, a mohli jsme si tedy společný čas pořádně užít. My měli poté v plánu v USA jetě chvíli zůstat, zkusit si tu najít nějakou brigádu a něco si přiivydělat. Nechceme se přece domů vracet ...
LA: The longest day of my life!
... Took a while to get through immigration as they wanted to know my non-existent plans for the states. The arrival hall at LAX was chaos. Seems like my bag went through security checks as the locks in some places was broken and my bag had been opened. LA is 38 degrees and blue sky. Made it to my hostel in the heart of Hollywood. I showered and went out, trying to keep moving till bed time. There are some shady characters in LA.
