Boarded our train to leave Niagara and travelled about 30mins till we got to the US border where we sat for an hour and half for customs to do their thing! Going tge opposite direction it was less than 30 mins. The Trip to Buffalo station was short, only an hour. We wren't due to catch the train to Chicago till midnight, so had 10 hours ...
... back in Buffalo, we were
hungry, had a walk round and found a place called 'Bada Bing'. We
ordered, and John headed to the restroom (Toilet to me and you), and
this is apparently how it went: He sat him self down, and proceeded
to carry on with the job in hand, when maybe half way through said
job an angry man started banging on the door. Well, poor old John,
didn’t know what to do with himself and just shouted back “I'm
busy”. Not the response ...
... not expecting to find here!
Came home, and I dyed Raquel's hair for her *g* then we both settled on the sofa together to watch the new year begin, and I got my first New Year's kiss.
Tomorrow we're going to have one last look around Buffalo, then pack and get organised for our train trip to New York City the day after.
Still can't quite believe it. I'm going to New York!
First day of sight seeing in the Buffalo area. Virginia took me across the Canadian border to the Niagara Parks. After successfully passing the quizzing of border control we entered Ontario and started out with a visit to a butterfly conservatory. We had lunch there and then carried on to see the falls. There are 2 falls on the Niagara river - the American falls and the Canadian falls - the river splits ...
... The hardest thing about getting across the border was the long wait in the line of traffic.
With the day ended, it all seems like a dream....a dream come true....We've traveled a great distance. Saw a GREAT sight. Worshipped a GREAT & AWESOME GOD !!!.....tonight, we will rest....then awaken.....refreshed.... and ready to see what other beauty and surprises this journey will reveal.
