From there we made our way to the Hyatt place in Malta. I've never heard of it either but it was just down the road from Saratoga Springs. The hotel was another home run and so was dinner at Chianti II in Saratoga Springs. Then on Monday morning we were actually ready to see the park and the fall colors. We drove into the village of Lake George and were surprised to learn that the foliage was less than 20% turned so rather ...

Captain Skene built saw mills, grist mills and an iron foundry, where trade can be documented from that time. The Revolutionary War caused the capture of Skene's trading schooner and the building of a fleet by Benedict Arnold at this place. Well we survived the rafting trip and headed out to our next destination of Vacation Village in the Berkshires, a timeshare just outside of Albany across the MA border. We arrived safetly and checked in to our hotsy totsy new accommodations complete with a bed and TV's. Looking forward to what our new location can provide entertainment wise, we retire for the night.

... We collected some Garnets from the area and headed back to the camp. At a nearby camp, we met a newly-wed older couple, and I taught my son the art of patience as we spent the better part of an hour listening to their drunk tales. Well, maybe I am stretching it a little. I practiced the art of patience, Alex is already pretty laid back. We returned to our camp where I swung in my hammock and enjoyed the quiet. Alex had a pretty good fire going which ...
