... a Circus Vargas show, which was fantastic. There were no animals in this circus. It was like a Las Vegas show with great performances. Sunday Aunt Brookie and Cousin AJ came to the dessert from Big Bear to join us for the morning. We washed cars, caught lizards, had lunch, and then headed ...

    ... like it's from the 70s.

The Main Street in Barstow is part of historic Route 66 so we cruise down and pick our home for the night - Stardust Inn. We got the room for a cheap and cheerful price of $45. We drop our stuff and head to Denny's for dinner. We get a talapia with mash and veggies and a chicken noodle soup to share. After dinner we stop by the local grocery store to stock up on necessities and get back to Stardust to chill.

... our way to Santa Monica, we passed a Beverly Hills sign, Sony & Warner Brothers buildings, and tons of indoor car dealerships. When we parked in the garage, we were greeted by the Santa Monica Ambassadors, what a welcome! We headed over to the 3rd street promenade, where we saw dinosaur topiaries and street performers, strange combination! For dinner we chose Planet Raw's Mermaid Wrap and Dante's Inferno, so much flavor. The vibe there was great too, New Age music ...

... into two, then we decided to stay a month so we were at Lone Wolf for over six weeks. This areas big claim to fame was that TV/movie husband and wife, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans lived here for many years. There was once a wonderful museum of memorabilia devoted to them, first in Apple Valley and then it moved to Victorville. I was fortunate enough to have visited both locations. I know it's a bit macabre to see Trigger and Buttercup (their horses) and their dog Bullet ...
