          ... have a phone box across the road, that amused me. As teenagers they can go and sow their wild oats before they decide if they want to stay Amish and if so get baptised into the church and adopt the lifestyle. So is not unusual to see young ones out having a good time!! They are also not averse to asking for a lift in your car if it suits them. Funny people.

          ... where the shops provided lots of locally produced products, even managed to get in 3 quilt stores. For some reason we just found the whole country side very peaceful, it not often you get to watch children play baseball outside in the many one classroom schools we saw, to the many buggies you pass. Now on our 3 hour return train ride back to the big apple, just trying to sort out what many things still left to do in our last couple of days in NY. More photos to come ...

          We’re in pretty good shape compared to the locals though – across the street from our hotel, the Pizza Hut building fell apart, a Wendy’s fašade was blown out by water, and a McDonald’s got totally trashed.
