A recipe from my beautiful friend Maddi, originally titled 'For all the cooks from my mother'
1 egg yolk
2 tbs milk
500g fresh ricotta
1/2 cup grated parmesan
400g jar arrabiatta pasta sauce
375g fresh lasagn
100g free basil pesto - optional
250g baby spinach
cooked chicken or beef - optional

... both non venomous which was good but they were constrictors which made me a bit scared when one of them managed to wrap itself round my neck! Lizard- there were a few different lizards. I had an iguana sat on my head! Then there was a yellow bearded dragon that I held and another one which was so ugly! It had a stumped body so that predators couldn't tell which side was their head. Bird- they had a red tailed black cockatoo which you could hold aswell. Then you were allowed ...
... After that we had the chance to hold a koala- it was so cute and soft! Finally they brought a snake out and we each held it around our neck!! After leaving the sanctuary we cruised around in the car and drove to a nice walk way where we saw a koala n the wild! In the afternoon we chilled out in the pool at our hostel before having a couple of drinks in the hostel bar! Another fab day seeing all the 'Aussie animals' and cruising in the Barbie car!!!
... They also tricked us into looking at something called Frog, obviously we thought it would be a frog but nope it was a bird eating spider CALLED Frog. It was my turn to freak out and I wouldn't go near it once. After an eventful afternoon we decided we deserved pizzas and ate them on the bus back to our hostel, getting a lot of jealous comments. ... Island, a very choppy journey we arrived at Base on the rocks overlooking the ocean. A beautiful view unfortunatly spoilt by the fact we were staying in a tin can of a room. Note to self dont stay at Base Backpacker hostels in Australia. The island itself is beautiful with lots of greenery and wildlife and we could see the potential for amazing snorkleing however the weather prevented this. We set off on what we thought was a ...
