... You may want to avoid the Top Tourist Flame Tree park on Shute Harbour Road. Way too many permanents, the main office is untidy and grubby and the laundry is neglected. Also, the water supply has a "lime" taste and is unpalatable. And nothing lathers in the laundry or showers!
Luckily we are only here for three days and spending most of the time away from the park.

This morning we headed into Townsville for a walk along the Strand.
