    So this is the big day, the start of the three to five day Laugavegur. It usually takes four days, but I am hoping to complete the trek in three days, and then continue with the walk from Thorsmork to Skogar, weather permitting.

    ... as well as the fact that I started the trail in the High Sierras above the cloud line - sky walker. I also truly feel as if I am in a galaxy far far away. It feels so great to be a part of this community now.

    ... The boys had grilled cheese and tater tots (very american!) for dinner and watched movies while we went down to the resort restaurant for "date night". I had the most amazing dessert, a macadamia nut cookie baked and brought to the table in a skillet with icecream, cream and caramel sauce Mmmmmmmm. Gary had major food envy!

    The intention for tomorrow is to head around the eastern side of the lake to Boreal, a small ski field near Truckee that has night skiing.

    ... too rough. More like, you only want the boat for an hour or two, so guess what: we can’t be bothered.
