    ... days along the coast are SUPER windy and its difficult to really take your eyes off the road much, its like being in a video game, trying to keep moving at a good clip yet not tumbling over a 500' cliff. If you're a person that likes to drive and feel the road, you would love it. If not, you get used to it shortly, but once you find a driver thats comfortable with it, stick with them, otherwise you wont be able to relax on a road cruise. ...

    ... the top, another ridge lay ahead of me. I finally reached the top thinking the worst of my day was behind me. Boy was I wrong. The descent down the other side was gradual but it was a near 4 mile snow field. The noonday sun was peaking the temperature around 80*.     ... drove around the whole lake again! Except this time the trip home was in the dark, and its so much more tiring driving in the dark here. The roads aren't lit and feel narrower and more winding. I thought the drive home would never end.

    We could feel the weekend crowds coming back as we stopped by Raleigh to pick up a few things. Queues at the checkout were massive so its good that we are leaving this Saturday.
