      ... few of the pictures have a story behind them, especially the angel trees in Mississippi, but of course, totally your call.

      We've enjoyed our time so far and are hitting the road again this morning in 40 degree weather with a windchill of 32....yes sirree, I am really really happy to be living this life..... (I also have some beachfront land in Arizona for sale.....)

      ... hotel to spend NYE. It had pretty awesome prices because it didn’t have a lot of the amenities of newer hotels like a telephone but it had lots of character and was only a block away from all the events going on downtown. With free wifi, good showers, free parking and an ice machine it was more than satisfactory.       Seven years ago when we were here, we had put a Walmart location into our GPS to do some shopping. This was at a place called "Pass Christian", when we got to the point that Walmart was supposed to be located all we found was a cement slab Katrina had wiped out the building and most of the coastline including the boardwalk that followed the beach. Houses near the water had been devastated.

      So much re-building work has happened ...

      ... USS Drum (a submarine). They are in a military themed park with lots of airplanes from several eras and monuments to the military from all conflicts. Unfortunately it was after 3 when we got there and they close at 5 so we didn't get to spend a lot of time touring, but everything was very interesting.

      So here we sit for two nights. It will be nice to just be able to sleep a little later tomorrow and see the stuff we want to ...
