... set up camp in the city park adjacent to a Little League ballpark busy with Friday night games; Americana Kansas style for sure and touching in its allegiance to stereotype. Oil and beef production are biggest here. Wheat production is hurting from wet weather. The land is getting progressively greener and rolling, very welcome after eastern CO that had neither of those features. I spent the last week at Dwain and Chris's. After some discussion they allowed that I could veg for a while. In past years I have been startled by the bear, but he stayed away while I was there. They had a bad hale storm the week before and had one window shattered, the siding on three sides of the house shreded, and the trees almost denuded. ...

... finishing up some school stuff. Got the plan changed and all is good.

Driving around Denver right now toward Fort Morgan and our destination Great Bend, KS. Feedlots are huge and stink! Street signs actually do say CR like in the Miranda Lambert song County Road 233..."Gunpowder and Lead".

Oh yeah, the night before we left, I was up til 11:30pm trying to hook up the DISH tailgator we took last year. Went through the tech service process only to discover ...
